Adaptic holds no licence in any jurisdiction yet. Our proprietary fund trades only our own capital; we will not manage outside capital until authorized. Status describes where we are building, not what we are permitted to do.

Capital
- Adaptic runs a proprietary fund that trades only its own capital, live, on its own system.
- Client pilots are a six-week shadow pilot with no capital at risk. They are separate from the proprietary fund.
Every action is gated by its consequence.
People author the mandate. A deterministic kernel, the mandate compiled, decides what is permitted. Each action carries one of four governance levels, and the level rises with how consequential and how reversible the action is.
The four governance levels
- AUTOThe machine acts inside the mandate. Every action is recorded to the ledger.
- NOTIFYThe machine acts and notifies the accountable human.
- APPROVAL-GATEDThe action waits for a named approver, four-eyes where the mandate requires it. Mandate changes and strategy go-live sit here.
- HUMAN-GATEDOnly a named human may act. Irreversible and judgment-bound actions sit here.

If nobody signs, the kernel holds. Nothing irreversible happens by default.
The examiner’s record. Written once, never edited.
Every decision, allowed or blocked, is written to an insert-only ledger. It is the record in the form an examiner would request.
- Insert-only: a row is written once and is never edited.
- Hash-chained by construction, so any tampering is detectable and the record cannot be silently revised after the fact.
- Decision and order records are reconstructable end to end.
- Trace any outcome in the Observatory; every answer from Ask Ada cites the ledger.

Security as architecture, not a checklist.
Controls are designed into the stack. Certifications are described as pursued, never as held, and design targets are named as targets.
